Bell Media Inc. v. John Doe 1
The court has granted an order to block access to certain websites during the FIFA World Cup matches in Canada. The order applies to third-party internet service providers and their customers. The plaintiffs will appoint an agent to handle the implementation of the order. The agent will notify the providers of the IP addresses to be blocked, and the providers must make reasonable efforts to block access. The order allows for temporary suspensions if necessary and provides instructions for notifications to the hosting providers and customers. Any changes to the order require court approval.
