On July 7, 2022, Jee Hyun Cho obtained a final order that transferred Kang San Danny Kim's half interest in a property in Langley. Mr. Kim and his mother, Sun Hwa Gea, sought to set aside the order, arguing that the court lacked jurisdiction and they did not willfully fail to attend court. They claimed that Mr. Kim held his interest in trust for his parents and that the property was not subject to division. The court had to determine whether the order should be set aside based on the Miracle Feeds test or for lack of jurisdiction.
