North American Rail Solutions expands signals and communications reach with acquisition of Condor Signals in Ontario

North American Rail Solutions, through its subsidiary Universal Rail Systems, has completed the acquisition of Condor Signals and Communications based in Oakville, Ontario. This acquisition enhances North American Rail Solutions' presence in the signals and communications sector within the rail industry across North America, marking a strategic expansion into the U.S. market.

Condor, renowned for its expertise in rail signals and communications, will continue to operate under the Universal Rail signals group while maintaining its branding and product line, including rail switch heaters, bungalows, and racking systems. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Tim McMillan, President and COO of Universal Rail Systems, expressed enthusiasm about integrating Condor's operations and products, which are now available throughout Canada. Thomas Lucario, CEO of North American Rail Solutions, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition for expanding their signals capabilities across North America.

Maggie DiPede-Sullivan, the outgoing owner of Condor, shared her positive outlook on the acquisition, highlighting the continued prosperity for Condor’s employees and legacy.
