Klue, an AI startup specializing in competitor and market intelligence, acquired DoubleCheck Research, a Massachusetts-based firm known for win-loss analysis for B2B technology companies. Klue's CEO, Jason Smith, emphasized that this acquisition marks a significant step towards creating an all-in-one platform that delivers tactical and strategic insights to help businesses close deals and understand their competitive landscape.
The acquisition, valued in the "low double digit" millions, is expected to finalize on January 18, 2023. Klue highlighted that integrating DoubleCheck’s win-loss analysis will enable teams to devise stronger market strategies, reinforcing its market leadership in competitive enablement. Notable clients of Klue include Adobe, Dell, Hubspot, Salesforce, and Shopify.
DoubleCheck, founded by Ryan Sorley in 2014, has 27 employees and will be fully integrated into Klue, which has 242 employees. The acquisition supports Klue's vision of an all-in-one compete platform amid a challenging economic environment and declining tech budgets. Klue, recognized by The Vector Institute as a top Canadian AI startup to watch in 2023, has raised approximately $103.5 million CAD in funding to date, with major backers including Tiger Global and Salesforce Ventures.
