Hospeco Brands Group acquires Innocore to expand North American wipes market presence

On February 24, 2023, Hospeco Brands Group (HBG), a U.S.-based manufacturer of cleaning and protection products, acquired Innocore, a Canadian company known for Touch Point® and Certainty® Brands premoistened wipes. This merger, effective immediately, aims to enhance HBG’s wipes offering and extend its footprint in North America. The transaction value was not disclosed.

Certainty Brands leads in Canada with multi-surface disinfecting and sanitizing wipes, while Touch Point is recognized similarly in the U.S. The merger allows HBG’s customers access to these well-regarded products and expands Innocore customers’ access to HBG’s comprehensive product line.

Bill Hemann, EVP of HBG, emphasized that the merger strengthens their Canadian infrastructure, promising reduced lead times and an expanded product range. Tom Friedl, CEO of HBG, praised Innocore’s values and operational excellence. Innocore will continue under its name, with its management team intact, benefiting from HBG’s extensive offerings.

Innocore’s facilities, spanning 82,000 square feet, include in-house converting, saturating, sealing, and packaging, producing Health Canada, EPA, and FDA registered products. Mark Harvey, Innocore’s president, highlighted the cultural and value alignment with HBG, foreseeing significant benefits for their customers from the expanded product mix.
