Blue Moon Metals acquires Nussir and NSG for US$67.3 million

On November 27, 2024, Blue Moon Metals Inc. announced the acquisition of Nussir ASA and Nye Sulitjelma Gruver AS (NSG), private Norwegian mining companies, for US$67.3 million ($90.9 million CAD), including US$3 million in milestone payments. The deal will be paid in Blue Moon shares at C$0.30 per share.

The transaction is expected to close by February 27, 2025, pending approvals. Blue Moon also launched a brokered private placement, targeting US$21.4-$35.7 million, co-led by Cormark Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc., with proceeds funding exploration and development.

Advisors included DLA Piper (Canada) LLP and Simonsen Vogt Wiig AS for Blue Moon, Fasken Martineau LLP and Arntzen de Besche for Nussir, and CIBC Capital Markets as Nussir’s financial advisor.
