Angelicoussis Group acquires Altera Shuttle Tankers, including its Canadian operations

On November 6, 2024, Altera Infrastructure Holdings L.L.C. announced the sale of Altera Shuttle Tankers L.L.C. (AST) to Maistros Shiptrade Limited, affiliated with the Angelicoussis Group. AST operates 18 shuttle tankers in Canada, Brazil, and the North Sea, enhancing the Angelicoussis Group’s global shipping operations.

The deal is expected to close in H1 2025, pending regulatory approvals. Jefferies served as financial advisor, Kirkland & Ellis and Schjødt advised Altera, while Slaughter and May acted as legal advisor to Maistros Shiptrade Limited. PwC provided tax advisory services to Altera.
