On December 10, 2024, Indigenous Gaming Partners (“IGP”) acquired PURE Canadian Gaming from ONCAP, a private equity platform of Onex (TSX: ONEX), for an undisclosed amount. Supported by VICI Properties Inc. (NYSE: VICI), the deal received regulatory approvals from Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) and the Canada Competition Bureau.

IGP, a newly formed gaming company representing five Nova Scotia-based First Nations, partnered with Sonco Gaming Inc. to complete the acquisition. PURE Canadian Gaming, based in Edmonton, operates four casinos in Alberta with 1,100 employees.
