On May 1, 2025, Montreal-based Valsoft Corporation Inc., a specialist in acquiring and developing vertical market software businesses, announced the acquisition of MonkeySoft Solutions Inc. (“MonkeyMedia”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ezCater. The acquisition marks Valsoft’s strategic entry into the restaurant technology sector, expanding its portfolio into a new vertical. Founded in 2002, MonkeyMedia is a leader in cloud-based catering management software, serving restaurant chains across North America with solutions for online ordering, order and lead management, back-of-house operations, and financial reporting.

Valsoft praised MonkeyMedia’s strong industry reputation and commitment to partner success. The deal brings Ben Pidduck on board as Managing Director, joining the leadership team with Darrin Winning, Tony Pavic, and Elena Surkova. The company will continue operating independently, retaining its team and focus on service excellence, while leveraging Valsoft’s broader network to support future growth.
