Telus and Fillip Fleet partner to launch Visa-powered connected vehicle payment solutions

TELUS and Fillip Fleet have partnered to launch a next-generation fleet management solution in Canada, combining TELUS' Connected Fleet telematics technology with Fillip's Visa-powered digital payment platform. This collaboration aims to address the $53 billion Canadian fleet fuel market by providing businesses with tools to manage their fleets more efficiently and cost-effectively. The integrated solution offers real-time insights into vehicle performance, maintenance needs, and driver behavior, while enabling drivers to make secure, contactless payments at over 11,000 fuel stations across Canada using digital fleet cards. Fleet managers benefit from customizable spending controls, fraud detection through GPS and transaction matching, and potential annual fuel savings of 5–10 percent. Additionally, the platform streamlines administrative tasks, potentially saving up to 10 hours per month on bookkeeping, and enhances operational efficiency through route optimization and access to fuel discounts at partner stations.
