On May 9, 2025, V6 Agronomy Inc. and the Port of Johnstown announced a long-term partnership aimed at enhancing Canada's agricultural infrastructure. This collaboration positions the Port of Johnstown as V6 Agronomy's Eastern Canadian import hub for fertilizer inputs and logistics. A new terminal facility is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2025. The partnership supports V6 Agronomy's strategy to modernize Canada's fertilizer supply chain, improve food system resilience, and reduce the carbon footprint of fertilizer distribution. Additionally, V6 Agronomy is constructing a compound fertilizer granulation facility in Maitland, Ontario, and is collaborating with Trent University's School of the Environment on a multi-year research project to validate emissions reductions and soil health improvements. Mangrove Systems is also involved, implementing verifiable carbon and nitrous oxide tracking across the fertilizer and soil amendment lifecycles. This initiative aims to provide Canadian farmers with more predictable access to affordable, high-quality fertilizers and to open new export channels for high-value western Canadian pulse crops
