PRO Real Estate Investment Trust (PROREIT) has entered into an agreement to acquire six industrial properties in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for a total purchase price of $96,500,000. The properties encompass 678,177 square feet of gross leasable area and are 99.7 percent leased to 26 tenants, with a weighted average lease term of approximately 4.2 years. As part of the transaction, the seller, Parkit Enterprises, will receive approximately $40,000,000 in PROREIT units, equating to a 9.6 percent stake in PROREIT. Additionally, Parkit's Chair, Steven Scott, will join PROREIT's board of trustees upon closing. This acquisition aligns with PROREIT's strategy to expand its industrial portfolio in strong secondary markets.
