Nomura leads $513 million financing for Yondr subsidiary's Toronto data centre project

Nomura Securities International Inc. acted as lender in a senior construction financing of approximately $513 million to support Tamprop Development ULC in the design, development, operation, and maintenance of a 27-megawatt, three-storey data centre located in Toronto, Ontario. Tamprop is the Canadian subsidiary of Yondr Group, a Netherlands-based global developer, owner, and operator of hyperscale data centres. This financing will facilitate Yondr’s expansion into the Canadian market and support the construction of its first data centre in Canada. The facility is expected to contribute to Toronto’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure sector and aligns with Yondr’s broader sustainability and capacity growth goals in North America. The site spans 4.5 acres and is projected to deliver its first megawatts of power by mid-2026. The financing reflects increasing institutional interest in critical digital infrastructure projects within Canada. Legal counsel for Nomura Securities International Inc. was provided by Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP.
