In December 2024, PARC Retirement Living, a British Columbia-based operator of independent seniors’ residences, completed its first acquisition by purchasing Athens Creek Retirement Lodge in Penticton, BC. This 80-suite independent living community, established in 1997, marks PARC’s inaugural expansion through acquisition, complementing its portfolio of purpose-built concrete residences. The acquisition enables PARC to meet the growing demand for high-quality senior housing in the Okanagan region more swiftly than through new construction. The Athens Creek team and residents have since been integrated into the PARC family, enhancing the company's presence in British Columbia.
