On June 27, 2025, GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group, LLC reestablished itself as an independent brand following its acquisition by Toronto-based private equity firm TorQuest Partners from B. Riley Financial, Inc. for US$117.8 million (approximately C$161 million at the time). The transaction was executed through TorQuest Partners Fund VI, a C$2.3 billion fund, and marks GlassRatner as the fund’s third platform investment. Torys LLP represented TorQuest with a multidisciplinary legal team covering corporate/M&A, debt financing, employment, IP, data privacy, real estate, regulatory, and tax matters. Cole Schotz LLP acted as counsel to B. Riley Financial.
