Canderel acquires Taligent to bolster tech capabilities in real estate services

Canderel, one of Canada’s foremost privately held real estate firms, announced on July 13, 2025, its acquisition of Taligent—an established Canadian consulting firm specializing in building technology infrastructure and systems integration. While the transaction value was not disclosed, the acquisition is a strategic move designed to enhance Canderel’s capacity to deliver innovative, tech-forward solutions across its nationwide property and construction management portfolio.

Taligent, which employs approximately 50 professionals, will maintain its existing brand identity while gaining access to the scale and multidisciplinary support of the Canderel Group. This aligns with Canderel’s broader end-to-end platform, which includes its infrastructure advisory partner Tiree, enabling comprehensive services in digital infrastructure, integrated security, IT networks, multimedia systems, and smart building integration.

Additionally, Andrejs Mistiouk, Senior Vice President, Legal at Canderel, brings deep experience in real estate transactions—including acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations—and will oversee legal coordination and direction stemming from this acquisition.
