Kilmer Sports Ventures, owned by Larry Tanenbaum, has acquired the “Toronto Tempo” expansion franchise, the first Women's National Basketball Association (the “WNBA”) franchise awarded in Canada, as well as the concurrent third-party investor financing.
The Toronto Tempo will begin competing in the WNBA’s 2026 season.
The WNBA’s Toronto Tempo received sponsorship from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
