Beanfield issues $565 million of asset-backed securities

Beanfield Technologies Inc., a leading independent connectivity provider to the enterprise, commercial and residential sectors in Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver and Ottawa, completed the securitization of certain of its fibre network assets and the related customer contracts through the private placement of $565 million of secured fibre network revenue notes to accredited investors in both Canada and the United States.

This securitization transaction was the first of its kind to be completed by a Canadian owner and operator of fibre network infrastructure.

Beanfield is backed by two of the leading private equity sponsors active in the digital infrastructure space – DigitalBridge and OMERS Infrastructure.

Beanfield’s legal team was led by Fabien Fourmanoit, its Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer, and Anthony Gordon, its Director, Legal Counsel.
