On August 18, 2025, Valsoft Corporation Inc., a Montreal-based acquirer and developer of vertical market software, has announced the acquisition of three established business units—Carrus, Polygon, and The Broker Forum—from SOVRA (formerly mdf commerce inc.). This strategic transaction enhances Valsoft’s presence in the jewelry, automotive aftermarket, and electronic components sectors.
Carrus, founded in 2002, delivers robust management software for auto parts distributors and repair shops, supporting operational efficiency and customer loyalty. Polygon, established in 1984, operates as a leading online marketplace for jewelry professionals, facilitating real-time trading and business intelligence with over 725,000 active listings. The Broker Forum, launched in 1996, is a global eMarketplace for electronic components, offering access to more than 60 million in-stock items and 100,000 daily part searches.
The transaction supports Valsoft’s strategy of acquiring and nurturing mission-critical software businesses while maintaining their independence and entrepreneurial spirit. All acquired units will continue operating under their existing brands, benefiting from Valsoft’s operational expertise and growth planning.
