Valsoft acquires WSI Technologies

On September 9, 2025, Valsoft Corporation Inc., a Montreal-based specialist in vertical market software acquisitions, has acquired WSI Technologies, a leading provider of secure video recording solutions for public safety and child advocacy sectors. Founded in 1977, WSI is renowned for its iRecord and Nexus platforms, which support secure interview recording and evidence sharing. The acquisition marks Valsoft’s strategic entry into public safety technology, a sector increasingly adopting cloud-based and AI-driven solutions to modernize operations. Jim Hansen, a seasoned executive in public safety technology, has been appointed President and CEO of WSI, guiding the company’s next phase of growth and innovation. WSI will continue to operate autonomously under Valsoft’s Fluent operating group, ensuring continuity for its leadership and staff while benefiting from Valsoft’s operational expertise and long-term vision.

Valsoft was represented internally by David Felicissimo (General Counsel), Shinjay (Ssin) Choi (Senior Legal Counsel), and Elisa Marcon (Senior Corporate Paralegal). WSI’s exclusive financial advisor was Peak Technology Partners, with Andrew Stivers and Bryan Liu leading, and Densborn Blachly LLP serving as legal advisor.
