On September 16, 2025, Egis, a global leader in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations, and mobility services, has acquired Ecometrix, a prominent Canadian environmental and water consultancy founded in 2004. Ecometrix, with 60 staff based in Ontario, is recognized for its high-end environmental services supporting permitting and regulatory compliance across the mining, nuclear, government, and private sectors. This acquisition significantly enhances Egis’ environmental expertise, effectively doubling its environmental presence in Canada and strengthening its ability to deliver integrated solutions in the nuclear, mining, and water resources sectors. Ecometrix’s specialized capabilities in the nuclear industry will bolster Egis’ Canadian nuclear practice, leveraging Egis’ 50 years of global experience. The transaction also elevates Egis’ technical expertise in mining and expands its in-house water resource services, enabling the firm to address larger industrial applications.

AEC Advisors, through its registered broker-dealer affiliate AEC Transaction Services LLC, served as the exclusive financial advisor to Ecometrix, while Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP acted as legal counsel for Ecometrix.
