On September 29, 2025, Rose Rocket, an AI-native transportation management platform (TMS) headquartered in Toronto, announced the acquisition of Centro, a Toronto-based company whose core intellectual property converts unstructured email into structured data for supply chain software systems. Centro’s co-founders, CTO Andrew Liu and CEO Jamyang Tenzin, joined Rose Rocket as part of the deal, leading the integration of Centro’s technology with Rose Rocket’s TMS. This was Rose Rocket’s first acquisition and was intended to advance its mission of delivering AI-centric transportation management solutions. Centro’s technology, informed by its manufacturing sector experience and expertise in AI for exception management, is designed to address complex workflows in freight. The acquisition enabled Rose Rocket to improve the accuracy of its email large language model (LLM) and officially launch TED, its AI-native email assistant. TED automates the process of turning shipment emails and attachments into booked orders and keeps TMS records updated in real time, reducing manual entry and errors for brokers, carriers, and shippers. In 2024, Rose Rocket processed $2.7 billion (approximately C$3.7 billion) in freight.
Legal counsel for Centro was provided by Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, with a team led by Will Shaw and including Laura Fetter and Satnam Singh Dosanjh.
