On January 2, 2026, Russel Metals Inc. has closed its acquisition of seven service centers in the United States from Kloeckner Metals Corporation for US$102 million (C$140.2 million), subject to normal-course working capital adjustments.

The transaction, announced on September 28, 2025, includes the acquisition of working capital, real estate, buildings, equipment, and operating personnel for the seven facilities located in Dubuque (Iowa), Charlotte (North Carolina), Suwanee (Georgia), Houston (Texas), Austin (Texas), Jacksonville (Florida), and Pompano Beach (Florida). The seven centers generated average annual revenues of approximately US$500 million (C$687.2 million) and average annual adjusted EBITDA of about US$20 million (C$27.5 million) between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2025.
