Dye & Durham sells Credas Technologies to SmartSearch for £77.8 million

On October 7, 2025, Dye & Durham Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Credas Technologies Ltd., its UK-based provider of identity verification and anti-money laundering solutions, to SmartSearch, an established UK anti-money laundering software provider and a portfolio company of Triple Private Equity. The transaction is valued at approximately £77.8 million (approximately C$146.3 million). Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of required regulatory approvals. Dye & Durham intends to use all net proceeds from the sale to repay outstanding senior secured debt, supporting its deleveraging priorities and further strengthening its balance sheet. The company noted that since acquiring Credas, it has helped the business grow and scale, and the sale represents a successful realization of that investment. As part of the transaction, Dye & Durham has entered into a commercial agreement with Credas and SmartSearch to ensure continuity of service for its practice management and data insights customers in the UK.

Canaccord Genuity Corp. is serving as financial advisor to Dye & Durham, and Dentons is serving as its legal advisor.
