Kardium raises U$250M series 8 class D preferred share financing round

Kardium Inc. (Kardium), a Vancouver, Canada-based developer of the globe pulsed field system, a treatment for atrial fibrillation, raised $250 million in Series D funding.

The round was led by Janus Henderson Investors, Qatar Investment Authority, MMCAP, Piper Heartland Healthcare Capital, Eventide Asset Management, and Eckuity Capital. Existing investors also participated, including funds and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc., and Durable Capital Partners LP. The financing also included an equity investment from a strategic investor.

Fasken advised Kardium with a team led by Shahrooz Nabavi, and included Shanlee Von Vegesack, Kulshan (Shawn) Mahal, Sarina Trasolini, Brock Euper, Stephanie Lee, and Mike Coburn.
