Montreal-based Valsoft Corporation Inc. announced on January 6, 2026, its acquisition of PenguinData Workforce Management, Inc., a workforce management software provider serving telecom, fiber, and utility contractors. The transaction value was not disclosed.
Founded in 2006, PenguinData offers a comprehensive platform supporting time tracking, labor allocation, project management, compliance, billing workflows, and advanced reporting for contractors managing complex field-based operations. The acquisition strengthens Valsoft's position in the infrastructure and field services software market and expands its portfolio of mission-critical software companies serving specialized industries across North America. PenguinData will operate autonomously under David Ozuna, the former Chief Operating Officer, with existing management and employees remaining in place. The company will join Fluent Software Group, a Valsoft operating group, benefiting from shared expertise and operational support while maintaining its entrepreneurial culture. Michael Enters, PenguinData's Founder, emphasized the partnership's focus on continuity and long-term growth.
Valsoft was represented internally by Shinjay Choi (Senior Legal Counsel), David Felicissimo (General Counsel), and Elisa Macron (Paralegal). PenguinData retained external counsel William Perrone and Daniela Badiola Spanos of Dana and Wiggins, along with M&A advisors Patrick Laliberté and Simba Zingoni of Mariner.
