Kent Road launches Bloor Street Flexibles with inaugural packaging acquisition

On December 8, 2025, Kent Road Capital (KRC) announced that it has established Bloor Street Flexibles, a platform company targeting the North American flexible packaging sector, and completed its first acquisition: a manufacturer of flexible films for food and beverage, agriculture, and industrial customers across the U.S. and Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Bloor Street Flexibles was formed in partnership with Dave Timm, who has over three decades of experience in the flexible packaging industry, including roles at Charter Next Generation and Pregis. Timm will serve as a strategic partner in the platform's expansion. The platform will focus on acquiring and integrating flexible packaging manufacturers that produce specialty films and sustainable packaging solutions in a market that KRC describes as having resilient demand and consolidation opportunities. KRC managing partner David Mansell said the industry is at an "inflection point" as customers increasingly demand sustainable solutions, and that the platform aims to deliver value by combining Timm's operational vision with KRC's capital and strategic resources. Timm said the first acquisition represents the type of companies Bloor Street Flexibles intends to support.

Torys LLP and Lavery served as legal counsel to Kent Road Capital, while Portage Point Partners acted as financial advisor.
