Red Seat Ventures, a division of Fox Corporation’s Tubi Media Group, has acquired Supercast, a leading subscription platform for podcast creators. The deal, which closed in February 2026, enhances Red Seat Ventures’ creator-focused digital services portfolio by combining advertising and subscription monetization capabilities for podcast businesses, positioning the platform as a single partner for the two primary revenue streams in the sector. Supercast, founded in 2019, will continue to operate autonomously under founder and CEO Jason Sew Hoy and, with Red Seat Ventures’ backing, plans to accelerate investment in product development, creator growth and team expansion. The acquisition is part of Red Seat Ventures’ broader strategy to build a slate of digital and creator-led businesses that expand opportunities for creators across subscriptions, sponsorships, events, merchandise and video distribution while preserving creator independence and direct audience relationships. Supercast Podcast Corp. was advised on the transaction by Canadian law firm Fasken, with a team led by partners Steve Saville and Geoff Pedlow (M&A) and including Brock Euper (M&A), Kulshan Mahal (M&A) and Chris Ross (Tax).
