Volaris acquires HIG Capital-backed Symplicity

Volaris Group, an operating group of Constellation Software, has acquired Symplicity Corporation, a portfolio company of HIG Capital. No financial terms were disclosed.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Symplicity is a provider of higher education career services and student support solutions. The company serves more than 1,200 universities globally.

Symplicity will continue to operate under its current brand as a wholly owned subsidiary of Volaris, maintaining its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. The acquisition strengthens Symplicity’s ability to continue evolving its platform and thoughtfully explore emerging technologies including AI and machine learning, while supporting a growing ecosystem of institutional needs.

Volaris acquires, strengthens, and grows vertical market technology companies. Based in Toronto, Constellation is a provider of software and services to public and private sector markets.
