Komar Industries, Inc. ("Komar"), a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial waste and recycling processing solutions, announced on February 24, 2026 that it has acquired Metro Compactor Service, Inc., BaleForce Recycling Equipment Inc., and Chute Source LLC (collectively, "Metro"). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition creates a unified North American platform, combining Komar's equipment manufacturing and service capabilities in the United States with Metro's established presence as a service leader and original equipment manufacturer in Canada. Komar's portfolio spans auger, stationary, self-contained, and vertical compactors, as well as vertical and horizontal balers, industrial shredders, continuous feed systems, dewatering systems, flatteners, and organic separation presses. Metro has built its reputation as a partner of choice in waste and recycling equipment across North America. Torys LLP acted as counsel to ONCAP, the lower mid-market private equity platform of Onex Corporation that owns Komar.
