Valsoft acquires U.S. childcare software provider KidKare by Minute Menu

Montreal-based Valsoft Corporation has announced the acquisition of KidKare by Minute Menu, a Texas-headquartered provider of daycare management and compliance software for the U.S. Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Founded in the early 1990s, KidKare serves over 75,000 sponsors, owners, directors, sites, and providers across all 50 U.S. states, offering tools for claims processing, meal planning, attendance tracking, and financial management. The transaction value was not disclosed. KidKare will continue to operate autonomously under its existing leadership team and will be integrated into Valsoft's Edelweiss Software Group, one of the company's decentralized operating entities. This structure is designed to preserve KidKare's operational independence and mission-driven culture while providing access to shared expertise and long-term strategic support.

On the legal side, Valsoft was represented internally by General Counsel David Felicissimo, Senior Legal Counsel LP Lacasse, and Senior Corporate Paralegal Elisa Marcon, with external counsel provided by Rich May, PC. KidKare was represented by Goodwin Procter LLP, while Software Equity Group (SEG) served as the company's exclusive M&A advisor.
