India's Kaynes Technology India Limited is set to acquire Calgary-based August Electronics Inc. through its wholly owned subsidiary, Kaynes Canada Limited, in a deal that positions the Indian electronics giant as a growing force in the North American manufacturing landscape. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

August Electronics is one of Canada's established providers of electronics manufacturing services. The company specializes in high-reliability solutions for sectors including energy, medical devices, industrial applications, and telecommunications, serving clients across the full product development lifecycle.

Kaynes Technology India Limited is an Indian electronics system design and manufacturing company with more than 30 years in the industry. The firm operates across a broad range of sectors — automotive, electric vehicles, aerospace, defence, railways, and healthcare — and offers integrated design, manufacturing, and supply chain capabilities. The acquisition of August Electronics represents its first major foray into the North American market.

CEO Tanya Korenda will remain at the helm of August Electronics post-acquisition, while co-founders Jack Francis and Peter Wilson will step away from their operational roles. The broader management team and organizational structure are being preserved to ensure business continuity.
