On March 18, 2026, Liferaft, a Halifax, Nova Scotia-based provider of SaaS-based open-source intelligence and threat-intelligence technology operating through Social Navigator Inc., completed its acquisition by Securitas AB, the Stockholm-listed global safety and security solutions group. The binding share purchase agreement had been signed on February 3, 2026.
Founded in 2014 in Halifax, Liferaft operates a SaaS open-source intelligence platform that aggregates threat data through continuous 24/7 monitoring of social, deep and dark web data sources, translating publicly available information into actionable intelligence for enterprise security teams. The platform supports protective intelligence, executive protection, duty-of-care and threat-actor investigation use cases for hundreds of large enterprise clients across North America. Liferaft reported subscription-based annual recurring revenue of approximately SEK 138 million (approximately US$15.3 million) as at year-end 2025, with organic growth exceeding 30 percent.
Securitas and Liferaft had been commercial partners for approximately five years prior to the transaction. For Securitas, the acquisition forms part of its strategy to expand high-margin recurring monthly revenue and to broaden its intelligence-led security solutions offering globally. Liferaft will continue to operate as part of Securitas' intelligence-led services portfolio.
