On June 23, 2026, Vancouver-based Harbourfront Wealth Group announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to receive a strategic investment from Boston-based private equity firm Berkshire Partners, valuing the company at C$1.775 billion. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the second half of 2026. No close date has been confirmed. Existing capital partner Audax Private Equity will retain a significant interest in Harbourfront following completion. The deal will provide a partial liquidity event for Harbourfront's shareholders, including its investment advisors. The transaction value is denominated in Canadian dollars; no foreign currency conversion is applicable.

Harbourfront is a leading Canadian independent wealth management firm with over C$22 billion in assets under administration (AUA), more than 600 employees, and a network of over 60 locations across Canada. Since Audax's initial investment in 2022, the firm's AUA has grown more than fivefold through organic growth, advisor recruitment, and five acquisitions completed since 2023.
