CIBC closes EUR 1.25 billion offering of 3.125 percent Series CBL67 covered bonds

On June 10, 2026, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce closed its offering of EUR 1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of 3.125 percent Series CBL67 Covered Bonds maturing September 10, 2032 (the "Covered Bonds"). The Covered Bonds were issued under CIBC's C$60 billion Global Covered Bond Programme, a regularly drawn-down euro-denominated funding programme that issues senior unsecured debt obligations of CIBC, the payment of principal and interest on which is supported by a cover pool of Canadian residential mortgage assets held by an arm's-length guarantor limited partnership and structured to comply with the legislative covered bond framework administered by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). The issuance constitutes a six-year benchmark euro-denominated covered bond and is part of CIBC's ongoing funding diversification strategy, building on prior Series issuances under the same programme, including a €1.25 billion 2.625 percent series due October 1, 2029 issued in October 2024 and a U.S. dollar-denominated 4.242 percent covered bond series issued in early April 2026. The Covered Bonds are expected to be rated in line with the programme's existing covered bond ratings from major rating agencies. Net proceeds will be used for CIBC's general corporate funding purposes.
