On June 16, 2026, Apotex Health Corp., Canada's largest pharmaceutical company, closed its initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange, marking one of the largest Canadian equity offerings in years and a notable reopening of the country's initial public offering market. The Toronto-based company develops and manufactures generic, biosimilar, and innovative branded pharmaceuticals as well as consumer health products, with operations in the United States, Mexico, and India. After filing a preliminary base PREP prospectus on May 28, 2026 and launching its roadshow on June 1, 2026 at an initial target of approximately $1 billion, Apotex upsized the offering and priced it on June 9, 2026 at $24.00 per common share for gross proceeds of approximately $1.3 billion. With the over-allotment option exercised in full at closing, the offering totalled 62,291,670 common shares for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $1.5 billion. The offering combined a treasury component of 35,416,666 shares, raising approximately C$850 million for the company, and a secondary sale of 26,875,004 shares by existing shareholders, including funds managed by SK Capital Partners, generating approximately $645 million. The shares began trading on June 10, 2026 under the symbol APTX. The pricing implied an equity valuation of roughly C$5.5 billion. SK Capital Partners, the controlling shareholder, reduced its stake from approximately 75.3 percent to approximately 52.4 percent, retaining control following the offering.
