Dominion Dynamics raises US$100 million Series A financing

Dominion Dynamics, an Ottawa-based defence technology company, announced on June 30, 2026 that it raised 139 million dollars (100 million US dollars) in a Series A financing led by Georgian, a Toronto-based venture capital firm that also led the company's earlier seed round. The round included participation from Valor Equity Partners, Expeditions, Lakestar, OMERS, Business Development Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, Deloitte Ventures Canada, and JDY Capital, alongside existing investors British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, Bessemer Venture Partners, Garage Capital, Golden Ventures, and Silent Ventures. The financing is described as the largest Series A round in Canadian defence technology history and brings Dominion's total capital raised to approximately 169 million dollars since the company launched in June 2025. Dominion Dynamics builds defence systems for extreme environments, including AuraNet, a software platform that integrates communications and sensor data into a single operating picture, and Scout, an autonomous collaborative platform intended to extend the operational range of crewed fighter aircraft. The company's technology has already been deployed with the Canadian Armed Forces in the High Arctic. Proceeds from the financing are earmarked for accelerating development of AuraNet and Scout, growing the company's headcount past 100 employees by year end, and supporting a newly opened manufacturing facility in Kanata, Ontario, as well as planned expansion into the United States, Australia, and Europe.
