GPTZero's product suite includes AI detection, hallucination detection, plagiarism checking, citation verification, AI Vision, and Replay, an authorship tracking tool. Following the transaction, GPTZero's technology is expected to be integrated into Superhuman Go, Superhuman's AI assistant, which operates across roughly 1 million apps and websites.
GPTZero is a New York City-based company founded in January 2023 by Edward Tian and Alex Cui. Superhuman was formed when Grammarly acquired the email provider Superhuman and later adopted that name across its combined platform, which also includes the collaboration tool Coda.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed by either company.
Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised GPTZero on Canadian aspects of the transaction, while Cooley LLP advised GPTZero on the overall transaction from the United States.
