Power Metals signs non-binding MOU with APL Engineered Materials to develop North American cesium chemical supply chain

On July 27, 2026, Power Metals Corp announced the signing of a non-binding memorandum of understanding with US-based APL Engineered Materials Inc. to develop a fully integrated North American cesium supply chain for chemical products as global supply continues to decline. Power Metals is a Vancouver-based critical minerals company whose Case Lake cesium project in Ontario is set to commence production in the near term. APL Engineered Materials, a privately owned company based in Urbana, Illinois and founded in 1944, is a market leader in supplying high-purity halides and metals for high-technology markets, with decades of cesium processing experience and a position as a leading supplier of cesium products for medical imaging and national security applications, including the recycling of medical-grade cesium iodide. The strategic partnership is intended to provide both parties a pathway into chemical development for critical mineral supply chains within the United States market, targeting rapidly emerging aerospace and defence markets alongside established industries including medical, energy, oil and gas, and electronics applications.
