GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) announced on May 21, 2026 that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Robotech Automation, a specialized robotics and automation systems integrator based near Montreal, Quebec, to accelerate its robotics and automation capabilities. The transaction was subject to customary closing conditions and approvals and closed in July 2026, per McCarthy Tétrault's deal notice. It augments ongoing robotics and automation efforts within GE Vernova's Advanced Research Center (ARC) for deployment across the company's supply chain to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes. Robotech, based near Montreal and employing approximately 35 people, delivers customized automation solutions through in-house design, engineering, and integration capabilities supported by a network of manufacturing partners. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. GE Vernova, headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a global energy company spanning Power, Electrification, and Wind segments, with a 130-plus year presence in Canada and roughly 2,400 Canadian employees.
