AGA Benefit Solutions, a Canadian employee benefits and insurance solutions provider based in Westmount, Quebec, acquired the operations of Quikcard Solutions, an Edmonton, Alberta-based provider of health spending accounts, wellness spending accounts, administrative services only plans and other employee benefits solutions. Founded in 1989, Quikcard had built a strong reputation across Western Canada and the rest of the country over more than three decades.
The acquisition strengthens AGA's position in the spending account market and gives the company a third Western Canadian office, in Edmonton, alongside its existing Calgary and Vancouver locations. Former Quikcard chief executive officer Shawn Stals is joining AGA as national director, spending account solutions.
The acquisition follows AGA's 2021 purchase of PPI Benefits, through which AGA became owner of the BeneFitsMyWay health and wellness spending account brand, and its March 2026 acquisition of Cartesia, a Montreal-based retirement plan management firm.
