Influence Media Partners to acquire Anthem Entertainment music catalog in more than US$600 million deal

On July 29, 2026, Influence Media Partners, in collaboration with funds and accounts managed by affiliates of BlackRock, announced an agreement to acquire substantially all of Anthem Entertainment’s assets, including its music publishing catalogs, film and TV publishing assets, and portfolio of master recordings, for more than US$600 million. The transaction covers a catalog reported to include more than 24,000 released songs and more than 60,000 additional unexploited works. The assets include interests in songs associated with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Cody Johnson, Rush, OneRepublic, Jordan Davis, Shane Profitt, and Chris Janson, as well as film and TV soundtracks connected to the Spider-Man, Men in Black, and LEGO Ninjago franchises. Anthem Entertainment is described as a global music rights management and publishing company based in Toronto and Nashville. Truist led the debt financing raise and served as financial advisor to Influence, while Goldman Sachs served as exclusive financial advisor to Anthem. Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised Anthem; PE Hub reported that Influence was advised by Alter, Kendrick & Baron, McDermott Will & Schulte, and McCarthy Tétrault, and that BlackRock was advised by Clifford Chance and Stikeman Elliott.
