CFR Chemicals, a Calgary, Alberta-based distributor of commodity and specialty chemicals, has been acquired by PERIN Resources, LLC, a Houston, Texas-based petrochemical marketing and logistics company. CFR Chemicals supplies commodity and specialty chemicals to the energy, industrial manufacturing, and resources industries in Western Canada. In addition to distribution, the company provides blending, rental, and storage services, along with distribution and transloading capabilities, to support customer needs. Its product range includes glycols, solvents, cleansers, methanol inhibitors, methanol, ethylene glycol, and monobutyl ether. PERIN Resources, founded in 2004, provides marketing and customer service to the petrochemical industry, assisting suppliers and customers with sourcing and sales across domestic and international markets, and coordinates product delivery by tank truck, rail car, barge, or vessel. The acquisition extends PERIN's petrochemical distribution and logistics platform into Western Canada through CFR's established Alberta operations and infrastructure.
