In August 2026, APOLLO Insurance, a Vancouver-based insurance technology company, was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting services firm. The acquisition was announced on August 5, 2026. APOLLO Insurance Solutions Ltd. operates a digital insurance platform that connects insurers, brokers, partners, and customers through end-to-end technology solutions. The company is a digital insurance broker and managing general agency specializing in tenant insurance across Canada, supported by a proprietary platform that uses artificial intelligence to streamline the insurance placement process. APOLLO has built its business around embedded partnerships with landlords, property managers, and real estate technology providers rather than traditional broker channels, serving more than 500,000 individuals and businesses through a network of over 150 partner organizations and bringing more than 9,500 brokers onto its Exchange marketplace. Founder Jeff McCann and his team will remain in their Vancouver location under the direction of Dave Partington, head of Gallagher's retail property and casualty brokerage operations in Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Following completion, APOLLO Insurance Agency Ltd. and APOLLO Insurance Solutions Ltd. became subsidiaries of Arthur J. Gallagher Canada Limited. The transaction expands Gallagher's technology-supported insurance distribution capabilities in Canada. Scotia Capital Inc. acted as exclusive financial advisor to APOLLO Insurance in connection with the transaction. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
