On August 1, 2026, Groupe Desharnais acquired Les Pneus Beaucerons, a Beauceville-based company established more than 60 years ago that offers tire sales and installation services along with automotive service and repair for passenger vehicles, heavy trucks, agricultural equipment and off-the-road vehicles. Les Pneus Beaucerons is a member of the Point S network, as is Groupe Desharnais, which operates through Point S and V1-affiliated locations. The acquisition strengthens Groupe Desharnais' presence in the Chaudière-Appalaches region and expands its network to eight branches located in Québec City, Lévis, Beauceville, Thetford Mines and Charlevoix. The transaction follows Groupe Desharnais' earlier 2026 acquisition of Pneus St-David in Lévis, completed in March. Les Pneus Beaucerons will continue its operations under its current brand, with its existing team remaining in place and the Poulin family maintaining an active involvement in the business. Groupe Desharnais is a fourth-generation family business that has operated in the tire and mechanical services sector for more than 75 years. Mélanie Desharnais, vice president of Groupe Desharnais, said the two companies share values including proximity to customers, passion for the trade and attachment to their community, and that the integration would expand the Beauceville location's inventory, supplier network and operational capacity. The official integration took effect August 1, 2026.
