On August 26, 2026, Enbridge Inc., acting through an unidentified wholly owned subsidiary, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Salt Creek Midstream LLC’s crude oil gathering business for US$600 million in cash. The asset purchase comprises 100 percent of the Orla gathering system, 100 percent of the Wink North gathering system, and a 50 percent interest in the Delaware Crossing system. Collectively, the assets include approximately 500 miles of infrastructure in the Delaware Basin, 420,000 barrels per day of throughput capacity, and 350,000 barrels of storage. They serve more than 20 producers under commercial agreements covering approximately 320,000 net dedicated acres, with an average remaining contract life of approximately 10 years.
The transaction remains ongoing and is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary conditions, expressly including clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Enbridge Inc. expects the acquisition to be immediately accretive to distributable cash flow per share and earnings per share, without changing its 2026 financial guidance. Strategically, the acquired gathering network connects to long-haul systems including the majority-owned Gray Oak Pipeline, supporting an integrated route from Permian wellheads through Gray Oak and Cactus II to the Enbridge Ingleside Energy Center.
