Strike Group Inc. has completed a management buyout from TriWest Capital Partners, effective October 24, 2025. Under the transaction, members of the Strike management team acquired the Calgary-based company from TriWest Capital Partners Fund IV and Fund V, which had held an interest in Strike since 2015. Founded in 2004, Strike Group is a Canadian-owned and operated provider of construction and maintenance services to the energy, mining, industrial, and agricultural sectors across Western Canada. Its service offerings span plant and facility construction, pipeline construction and maintenance, maintenance and turnarounds, module assembly, fabrication, industrial services, and electrical and instrumentation work. The company is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and employs roughly 1,900 people across a network of locations in Western Canada. The buyout enables Strike to operate independently under its management team, led by chief executive officer Stephen Smith, and marks the start of a new phase of growth for the business following a decade-long partnership with its private equity backer. TriWest Capital Partners, founded in 1998 and based in Calgary, is one of Canada's leading private equity firms, having raised more than $1.7 billion in committed capital across seven funds and invested in more than 50 companies in partnership with management teams. Debt financing for the transaction was provided by ATB Financial as lead, alongside syndicate partners TD Bank, National Bank, and the Business Development Bank of Canada.
