On September 10, 2026, NP Aerospace completed its acquisition of Iten Defense from Edgewater Capital Partners and other minority shareholders. NP Aerospace is a global armour technology manufacturer and vehicle integrator with manufacturing operations in Coventry, United Kingdom and London, Ontario, Canada. Iten Defense, headquartered in Ashtabula, Ohio, is a specialist provider of advanced defence protection solutions that designs, manufactures, and services opaque and transparent composite armour for land, maritime, and aerospace applications. The acquisition gives NP Aerospace its first established manufacturing presence in the United States and significantly expands its advanced armour production capability, complementing its existing personal protection, platform survivability, vehicle systems, and engineered composites portfolio. The closing followed the execution of a definitive agreement announced on June 22, 2026 and the receipt of required clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. Iten Defense will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership team. The transaction was supported by a funding package of more than 30 million pounds from NatWest, backed by UK Export Finance, comprising a 19 million pound trade loan and a 7.5 million pound term loan, together with lending from Export Development Canada, providing both transaction funding and working capital for the enlarged group. NP Aerospace, which employs more than 450 people globally, expects the combination to accelerate growth across its international enterprise.
