Several orthodontists acquired 13 orthodontic clinics across Canada from Canadian Orthodontic Partners, a consolidator, in separate transactions during 2025 and 2026. The purchasers were different orthodontists, and the clinics ran from Alberta to the Atlantic Provinces. MLT Aikins published its notice on September 28, 2026. The firm states that its Mergers and Acquisitions group, led by partner Scott Markham and supported by associate Jayelle Friesen, assisted in the acquisitions. The notice says the team advised each orthodontist on financing, due diligence, structuring, regulatory and licensing needs. It quotes two clients, Dr. Rob Mintenko and Dr. Hadi Daia, and describes Dr. Daia's deal as a multi-clinic acquisition.
