Westcap Mgt. Ltd. announced its investment in Northway Aviation LP and Northway Aircraft Leasing LP through its managed funds, Westcap MBO III Investment LP and Connect Manitoba Growth Fund LP. Northway, established in 1962 and historically owned by the Johnson family, serves remote communities in Manitoba and Ontario with passenger and freight transportation. As a key transportation partner for over fifteen communities and First Nations, Northway operates over 10,000 flights annually, connecting them to Winnipeg from St. Andrews Airport. The company, known for its safety and reliability, has expanded its fleet to nine aircraft in response to the growing needs of northern communities.

Westcap's President, Grant J. Kook, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Northway's dedication to safety and service. The investment aims to support Northway's expansion plans and improve services across Manitoba. Northway's CEO, Chris Mellen, viewed the investment as a significant milestone for the company's growth, noting past investments in the fleet and service optimization.
